Bottle of Heinz Wagner Sekt

HEINZ-WAGNER SEKTMANUFAKTUR

REGION: Black Forest, Baden VILLAGE: St. Blasien

The highest elevation of manufactured sparkling wine in Germany with 777 meters above sea level in the Black Forest.

There is wine made in the Black Forest? Yes, and it is quite amazing. The winery was founded by Maximilian Wagner. Maximilian—founder, winemaker, and face of the brand—has revived an old family tradition with Heinz Wagner Sektmanufaktur.

The name Heinz goes back to his grandmother Hedwig Heinz, whose ancestors were already winegrowers. His great-great-grandfather Heinrich Heinz was also a co-founder of the Kallstadt winegrowers’ association. So wine is in Max’s blood.

With Heinz Wagner Sektmanufaktur, he combines both family names and reinterprets traditional values with his vintages of high-quality vintage sparkling wine. All of his sparkling wines are made in the Traditional Method and he works exclusively with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

The PERFECT COCKTAIL – Fresh, not too heavy and simple

  • Clear Ice Cube
  • Fresh Orange
  • 4CL Campari

The bitter aromas from the Campari work incredibly well with the wild berry and native herbs from the Black forrest, which Max uses to infuse his non-alcoholic sparkling rosé.
